It started with a rescued dog named Kissy
01 · Kissy
Kissy came to us with digestive issues that meant we had to learn to make her food all natural and from scratch. She was our soul dog, and sadly she didn't stay with us nearly long enough.
02 · The starter
Soon after, a liver-disease diagnosis sent me to a dietitian and away from wheat, flour, and white rice. Instead of giving up, I spent a year learning — got hold of my family's sourdough starter (now three generations and 160+ years old) — and began baking homemade, all-natural sourdough. The jams followed naturally.
03 · The market
Family and friends finally said "stop" — they had too much. One of them had the foresight to say, "sell at the farmers market." That's how Kissy's Kitchen was born. (And yes, I lost 100 pounds along the way.)

All-natural ingredients, a family starter, and a rescued soul dog at the heart of it all.
